Music
We use the Charanga scheme of work to provide a balanced and progression-focused music curriculum which ensures that children have the opportunity to sing, listen, play, compose, perform and evaluate. We aim for children to be exposed to a wide variety of styles, traditions and musical genres and to develop descriptive language skills when learning how music can represent different feelings, emotions and narratives.
As part of our music provision at MPS we have the services for education team that come and work with year 4 and 5 in developing their musical ability.
