Head Boy and Girl

Head boy and head girl are the highest student leadership roles in school, representing the school's entire student body. They are the most senior prefects in the school and an example to all other pupils.  These pupils are appointed through a rigorous selection process during the autumn term. During this process, pupils have the opportunity to write a brief application and present their ideas to the senior leadership team, explaining why they believe they are best suited to the role. The pupils with the highest skill set are chosen to represent the school.

 

This year our pupil leadership team consists of:

Head boys and head girls are responsible for representing the school at events and will make public speeches and lead assemblies. They also serve as a role model for students and may share pupils' ideas with the school's leadership. They may also be expected to lead fellow prefects in their duties.

 

Their roles and responsibilities include:

  • Being ambassadors for the school
  • Speaking to visitors and answering questions about life at Marlborough School
  • Sharing their experiences with children in lower years
  • Being role models for the rest of the student body
  • Meeting the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and other staff members to discuss current issues and developments
  • Presenting awards and certificates
  • Leading school assemblies
  • Supporting the school in developing new ideas and projects
