Geography
Marlborough’s geography curriculum is designed to equip pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. It plans for a progression of knowledge about the world in order to deepen their understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes, and of the formation and use of landscapes and environments. It plans to develop three fundamental aspects of geographical study: the contextual knowledge of the location of globally significant places, including physical and human characteristics; an understanding of the processes that give rise to key physical and human geographical features of the world; competency in the application of a range of geographical skills, such as data analysis and interpretation of maps.
